My title makes no sense, I know. Two separate topics, but I wanted them both in there for when I'm trying to find info from old entries (never know when I'll type something brilliant, haha).
The boys and I have been exploring today - rivers, creeks, forests, garbage piles. I love my little adventurers. I finally put Stockton to sleep and the older boys continued playing outside with our neighbor buddies. They came running in a minute ago and informed me a werewolf is in the back field. Of course I took their fears seriously and we went to investigate. Finally I explained that I used to be afraid of werewolves, but my daddy told me they weren't real. Our neighbor, Dylan, rolled his eyes and said, "Of course your daddy told you that. He was lying to make you feel better!" They're still preparing for battles with the werewolves. I go out occasionally to offer treats and tell them how proud I am of their bravery! I love being a boy mom!
My exercise thought for today is consistency. Probably not a popular subject this summer when we're all busy, sleep-deprived, and too hot to think about exercising. The problem is - if you aren't consistent with your exercise, you'll never achieve your goals. It takes at least six weeks of working out 3-5 times a week to see results from exercise. I see many people gungho about an exercise program, but then they quit before the rewards come.
So stick with it! It will be worth it if you can keep going past those first few months. Exercise will become a habit. You'll feel better, you'll look better, you'll sleep better, you'll even be smarter and more successful - seriously, it's been proven! Don't give up. I believe in all of you and am so proud of how great you're doing!

Ohhhh, I don't know if I need to be any smarter!
But, I'll keep on working on that consistency, ok? Problem is....no, it's not an excuse, but it's an excuse..."things" have been so downright time-demanding that I have had only enough free time to do a few things of my own interests. Exercise should be one of those things, I know, but when I finally get to take a break, I've been sitting to read emails, to do my blogging, or to make phone calls. Add all that up and it's maybe 2 hours of my day, maybe three if I'm lucky...the rest of the 6 AM - 2 AM day is doing a hundred other things. I have been managing to get in cardio around the house...but the other stuff, well......I have done some, I've tried the ones you gave me and they're ok...but I've only done a few a few times. I just need to get all this other stuff done! (I try to "cheat" by doing lunge-type things while I'm washing dishes, when I walk from one room to another, etc., and I will dance or jog in place while I'm talking on the phone...I am trying but I don't know if this stuff is doing any good, I just figure it can't hurt and at least I keep "something" as part of my day so I'm already in the habit for when I'm able to expand on it.)
