We're crazy with all the summer parties this year, but I am so happy to do it. Last year at this time I was sitting on the couch crying about my amputated fingers. So bring on the craziness. I'd much rather play too hard rather than miss out on summer fun.
I hope you're all having a wonderful summer. My oldest starts football next week and I'm just sick about having him gone to practice four days a week (I'm kind of a wimp). I think we should all sign a petition that sports practice is only allowed during the school year and the school year can only run from Labor Day to Memorial Day with two full weeks off for Christmas. I know - it's not going to happen, but a mom can dream, right?
I'm trying to upload some pictures of the kiddos, but I'm a computer idiot. Hopefully tomorrow I can get it to work.
Have a great day and a fun time doing cardio tomorrow. If you have the energy, try to add some intervals to your workout - after a good warm-up, do one minute high intensity, followed by three minutes moderate intensity. But if you're like me and can barely get out of bed this summer, just feel proud of yourself for doing cardio!

Yeah, I can do cardio....even if I just dance around the apartment like a high-energy techno-driven disco dancing queen! (The thought of cardio-walking in the 90-degree heat doesn't sound as appealing as the dancing right now.
I'm actually glad you're summer is busy, busy, busy. Because, before you know it, it'll be over and you'll want to look back on a summer of fun, not a summer of blah. I hope the rest of the summer continues to be filled with fun for you and your family.
Thanks Donna. It is wonderful to be playing and enjoying the boys.
I love that you dance around the apartment! We turn on music and dance. It's great fun and a wonderful way to burn calories. Keep it up!
I'm sorry about your fingers. Sounds like you're not letting it get you down anymore. I agree...sports should take a break for summer! I don't remember them being that ongoing when I was young.
Thanks Maggie. I hardly notice my fingers anymore.
I finally signed Denver up for football. It starts next week. I know I'm going to go crazy missing him, but it's his dream. Hopefully the confidence he builds and the friends he makes will make up for mom being a wimp!
